About Us

Ramakrishna Math, Maadihalli, also known as Badarikashrama, is a spiritual and service-oriented center dedicated to the ideals of selfless service, spiritual growth, and value-based education.

Established in 1984, the ashrama has steadily grown in its service to society. In 2021, it was formally recognized as a branch of the Ramakrishna Math, becoming one of the newest centers in Karnataka.

Guided by the timeless ideals of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda, the Math harmonizes spiritual practice with practical service to humanity.

Our Spiritual Foundation

The activities of the Math are deeply rooted in the teachings of the Holy Trio:

  • Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa revealed through his life the harmony of all religions and the direct realization of the Divine. He taught that service to living beings is service to God.

  • Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi stands as the ideal of purity, forbearance, and universal motherhood, guiding seekers through her life of quiet strength and compassion.

  • Swami Vivekananda, the foremost disciple of Sri Ramakrishna, gave to the modern world the message of strength, character, and selfless service, and laid the foundation for organized spiritual and social work.

These ideals continue to guide the activities of the Math.
